My grandmother turns 95 this year. She is an artist, a maker and an inspiration. She used to macrame lawn chairs when I was a kid in the eighties. I had this idea to macrame a QR code into a lawn chair back in 2008 when working with BlackBerry. BBM Barcodes had just come out, and I thought it would be a cool marketing idea at summer music festivals. Fast forward 16 years later, and an accelerated adoption of QR codes as a result of the pandemic, I finally laid cord to frame. I wasn't sure it would even work, and I couldn't even test it until I finished the chair, 3 hours later. If you have seen the chair, and are reading this after scanning the code, it worked!
